Solid lines are cut lines; dashed lines are stitching lines. Cut the stated number of identical panels in a single layer. Align every grain arrow with the fabric length, parallel to the selvedge. Allowances are already included: do not add them again.

For a fitted waist, the seam circumference is body waist plus ease. For a pull-on skirt, it is the larger of that value and full hip plus clearance, then gathered with elastic. A fitted woven opening needs a zip. This is a geometric starting pattern: check fit in a toile and choose a fastening and elastic that suit your fabric.

The waist seam radius is opening ÷ (2 × π × fullness). Each panel spans 360° × fullness ÷ panel count. The waist cut radius subtracts the waist allowance; the hem cut radius adds length and hem allowance. Side allowances are parallel offsets, not extra degrees of circle.

The fabric plan reserves a rectangle around each panel with the same grain direction. It compares a waistband beside the panels with a separate length after them. It is a conservative plan, not the least possible fabric. Add your own allowance for shrinkage, defects and print matching. A directional print will turn around the skirt; this tool does not match stripes or motifs.

Let bias sections hang and settle before levelling the hem. A very wide folded hem can be difficult to ease around a circle. For construction examples, see Charm Patterns’ double-circle skirt instructions. The drafting geometry and printable template here are independently generated.
