Measuring fill mass and reading the plan
Weigh a successful test candle and subtract the empty vessel, lid and other non-mixture parts. Use the net wax-and-fragrance target for the same recipe and fill line. Changing the wax, fragrance or ratio may change the fill level; verify with a test pour. This tool does not infer a universal density from jar volume.
The pour list excludes the extra allowance. Ingredient totals include it. For stock planning, one complete batch repeats every group and the allowance; it does not choose which individual candles to omit. Stock leftovers are after all complete batches, not after buying the shortage for one batch.
Formula and numerical limits
Finished fill = sum of each container count × its fill mass. Prepared mixture = fill × (1 + extra/100). If fragrance is p% of wax, wax = prepared mixture ÷ (1 + p/100), and oil is the remainder. If fragrance is p% of total mixture, oil = prepared mixture × p/100, and wax is the remainder.
Complete batches = the smaller of available wax ÷ required wax and available oil ÷ required oil, rounded down. Unscented recipes need no oil. Unknown stock remains unknown. Exact input fractions determine the whole-batch count; displayed masses are rounded and are not measurement guarantees.
Software limits: 1–8 groups, 1–10,000 containers per group, 0.001–100,000 g finished mass per container, 0–100% extra mixture, and 0–1,000,000,000 g of each ingredient in stock. Percentage limits are 0–100% of wax or the equivalent 0–50% of total. These are arithmetic limits, not recommended or safe fragrance loads. Decimal input accepts a dot or comma, up to six decimal places. 1 oz = 28.349523125 g.
