Time Calculator — Hours, Duration & Timesheet
Add or subtract time, find hours between clocks, total timesheet shifts and pay, or convert duration units with clear visual results.
Time workspace
Add or subtract durations
Combine signed periods from days down to seconds. Subtraction can produce a negative result.
Duration A
Duration B
Time between two clocks
Measure a same-day or overnight interval and subtract an unpaid break.
Timesheet hours and pay
Add shifts. A finish earlier than its start is treated as an overnight shift.
Convert time units
Convert a decimal value across weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds.

Breakdown
Time calculator for hours and minutes
Add or subtract durations without manually carrying 60 seconds into a minute or 60 minutes into an hour. Results include normalized units and decimal hours.
Hours between two times
Compare clock times on the same day or across midnight. An optional break is removed from the worked interval and shown separately.
Timesheet calculator with pay
Add multiple shifts, including overnight work, then calculate total paid hours and estimated gross pay from an hourly rate.
Convert decimal time
Convert weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds from one normalized value without losing fractional precision.
Frequently asked questions
How do I subtract a larger duration from a smaller one?
Choose Subtract. The calculator keeps the sign and displays a normalized negative duration instead of rejecting it.
How do I calculate an overnight shift?
In Time between, enable “End is next day.” In Timesheet mode, an end time earlier than the start is automatically treated as the next day.
How are decimal hours calculated?
Total seconds are divided by 3,600. For example, 1 hour 30 minutes is 1.5 decimal hours.
Does timesheet pay include overtime or taxes?
No. It multiplies worked decimal hours by one hourly rate. Apply local overtime, payroll, tax, and rounding rules separately.
